I always enjoy photographing portrait sessions, capturing images on various parts of the islands is very rewarding and satisfying. There are a few areas that I am rarely asked to create a portrait. Lamshire bay on St. John is such a place. Other than the long distance from the other popular beaches like Trunk Bay and Cinnamon I, can not understand why it isn’t as popular. There are actually two Lamshire bays, a small Lamshire bay that has beautiful white sand, great snorkeling and a wonderful view and great Lamshire bay, that has a rocky shore line and even better snorkeling and great diving (It was once used by the Navy, experimenting with navy divers living in under water housing right in great Lamshire bay).
I was recommended by a friend for this particular portrait session and as it turned out it was really a great deal of fun. Lisbeth is a very articulate business woman that’s home ported out of the southern California area. She is the owner of a very renown line of spa treatments, in which natural ingredients are used. Just listening to her talk about the properties of the ingredients made me want to jump into the ocean and rub coconut all over myself. Needless, to say the ocean and cameras do not mix. However, after the session and after my equipment was safely at home I, did find myself taking a relaxing snorkel and a little rub down with sea salt…it felt so wonderful. Lisbeth, Thank you. I hope that you enjoy the images. LL
