Christie and Matt’s St. John Virgin Islands Honeymoon photo session

I have often asked myself what is it that makes a photograph special? I use to think that maybe it was the lighting, the composition, the clothing or maybe even the location. But, now I would have to say it’s the moments. If I, or anyone else am able to create a image that captures a moment that means something to someone then we have succeeded in capturing that special moment.

Christie and Matt are already married and were on their honeymoon. They live on a beautiful island themselves and their only requests were, that they shoot at a time of day when the water was a beautiful tropical blue and they go to some cool locations. St. John filled both requirements easy. We started our session in the AM and hit spots such as Hawksnest beach, Annaberg ruins, Peace Hill, Maho Beach and Trunk Bay overlook.  All in all we spent just a couple of hours capturing moments. Everyone had a great time and we captured some great images. I did see them a few days later on St. John and they were still having a wonderful time…making moments together. All the best guys. LL
